PRESS: Globaltrans wants to maintain dividend policy
MOSCOW, Oct 28 (PRIME) -- Russian rail cargo operator Globaltrans, whose global depositary receipts (GDRs) will begin trading on the Moscow Exchange on Wednesday, plans to keep adhering to its dividend policy, CEO Valery Shpakov said in an interview with business daily Kommersant.
“Our dividend policy has been approved and has worked for a relatively long time. Dividends are among the group’s priorities, we aim at large payments,” he said, adding that the company paid 8.3 billion rubles in dividends for January–June and the target for July–December is seen at around 5 billion rubles.
“We see possibilities to realize the target. Can we change our attitude to the dividend policy? I think no, it is clear enough and will remain clear. We will support paying the interim dividends,” he also said.
